Solene Makeup

A unique system combining a strong sense of symbolism grounded in functional planning with the incorporation of universal icons. The wayfinding and signage system is designed for longevity with robust materials and finishes. Our inclusive approach with emphasis on accessibility, ensures that it caters to a wide and diverse audience.

The central feature of the signage system for Kartavya Path is a monolithic signpost, whose form and engravings are inspired by two iconic Indian elements from our ancient past — the Iron Pillar of Delhi and the Ashoka Chakra. Ashoka’s Dharma Chakra with its 24 spokes also symbolizes dharma — duty by cosmic law and order.

Humanitarian Innovations Lab

[2024]

An initiative to bring together local, national, and international humanitarian agencies operational in India, to reflect, mobilise, and act in ways that have never been done before and are beyond the scope and culture of the current humanitarian architecture. The event showcased climate solution innovators from across India working towards creating sustainable solutions for endangered communities.

Visual identity centered around the abstract motion of coin flip- symbolising change, duality and momentum. Together, the visual language was developed to be modular and adaptable for use across print,  digital and spatial.

Solene

[2024]

Solene is a research-led branding project informed by the visual vocabulary of Bombay’s Art Deco architecture and vernacular urban culture. Drawing from archival references, I developed a custom logotype rooted in Deco typography alongside a modular pattern system inspired by auto-rickshaw upholstery. The project explored how everyday visual references can be translated into a contemporary and scalable identity system across print, packaging, and spatial applications, bridging the gap of local and global design aesthetics.

Disc Weave

[2025]

The twenty-four petalled roseate is adapted from twelve-petalled roseate seen as part of Vohra Gaji Bhat design in Patola Ikat. The name comes from geometrical all-over design known to be preferred by women of the Vohra muslims of the Shia faith (Bahri’s) of Gujarat who wore it on special occasions. The design is described as one which “always displays symmetrically repeated pipal (peepul) leaves, stars and twelve-petalled rosettes enclosed within diamond lattices.”

Jindal Steel

[2024]

Diwali advertisement captured the Jindal campaign promoting to switch from the use of plastic to a more sustainable and reusable kitchen with their stainless stell range.

At 9.3 million tonnes, India is now the largest plastic polluter in the world (report by: Global Plastics Treaty). Plastic has slowly seeped into every part of our lives, from our day-to-day activities to the biggest festivals of the year. This Diwali, let’s #SwitchToStainless for a cleaner celebration. Only when we start making sustainable choices will we create a cleaner, greener future for us and the generations to come. Celebrate a plastic-free Diwali for the greater good of the world.

Greater Lane

[2022, Delhi | 2023, Mumbai]

Based on William Hogart’s Gin Lane painting, aims to change the narrative around gin in the present day. Through the 5 paintings that focus on recreating Gin Lane we aimed to create a space that celebrates gin, “a gin party”, contrary to the 1751 narrative.

Inside the site, the exhibition space is structured through a linear grid that navigates the visitor in an open-close hierarchy creating different moods within the walled limits. Two circular pods create enclosed areas that house the paintings. Each painting extends into its setup designed to be an extension of the artists vision. The transition space between these pods opens into a space of celebration, bringing the spirits of the paintings to life. The perimeters materiality blends and blurs through the light creating a cohesive background within the distinction of spaces.
